Most Helpful Reviews

ToodleBit

Mary, Part time teacher: It is easy to use, clear and does fulfil the objectives for the children.
Cathy Paxman, KS2 Teacher: Toodlebit is just so easy to use and deliver. Our Teaching assistants who lack confidence when it comes to computing lessons were able to understand the objectives and work with the children more confidently. The children really enjoyed the activities and their is scope for all to improve at their own levels. The instructions can be played as many times as the children need and those who have difficulties reading text were able ton access the information through the spoken word button which meant that nobody was held back or needed to rely on others.
Simon, Teacher: They really are much simpler to use than I expected and the way the Toodlebit scheme is laid out means that it is straightforward, exciting and accessible to all.

Kapow Primary

Allen Tsui, Subject lead for Computing: Kapow Primary has been a near perfect platform of support to me as a fledging subject leader for Computing. The Scheme of Work for Computing is highly organised and very well structured which for many schools who might lack the subject specialist expert knowledge need to be able to effectively offer or support teaching and learning in a subject vital to future proofing the citizens of tomorrow. The resources published by Kapow Primary do still need on occasion to be adapted to suit the needs of the learners and the hardware or software systems that schools have access to. But this is not unusual to any scheme of work published by other educational resource providers. Credit where credit is due too for the team at Kapow as despite the National Centre for Computing Education free offer of resources and lesson plans, Kapow Primary resources are much more teacher and learner friendly and requires less previous or specialist knowledge to teach with the material. As somebody who does have that extensive specialist subject knowledge, Kapow Primary has been a godsend in helping me brigade and marshal my thoughts and overall teaching strategy so well worth the investment.
Ruth McCartney: I was only recently introduced to Kapow and while I was aware of it I hadn't really spent the time to take an in-depth look at what it offers to both experienced music teachers and to teachers lacking in confidence in music delivery. I'm really impressed. The lesson plans are clear and easy to follow. At the start of each lesson the short teacher's video explains and reinforces basic information, how to explain the terminology and often how to teach it. The safe links are supplied, the slides are all set up to make life easy for the teacher. As an experienced music teacher, (advisor, consultant and BA & PGCE music education lecturer) I cannot recommend Kapow's music programme highly enough. Our teachers already using Kapow music are enthusiastic and enjoying their music lessons, the children are motivated, engaged and learning about music in an active and focussed way. Well done Kapow!!
Sarah Tattersfield: KAPOW has supported our school's journey in art and DT. We love the videos for the teachers and children. The range of artists, craft makers and designers is brilliant. My workload as subject lead is lighter. KAPOW supports non specilast teachers to deliver a full and creative curriculum. Thank you
