Although there is only one login, the problem is that "only one attempt" can be entered from different devices with the same ID, the questions cannot be moved while creating the quiz (mass scrolling such as mass deletion), and there are no audio questions (for listening).

I reduced my workload. However I would find it helpful if the Socrative tests could be started and ended at a scheduled time. That's something I miss... I also miss having a few more linked answer options. For example, if students have to check true or false for a reading comprehension text and then only get a point if they also provide the correct justification.

It is very beneficial for the purposes that I use it for. I can see other subjects where I would use it less frequently, but it is a good product.

It is a great program that does minimize my workload. It gives good data. You all are constantly improving your platform as well. One thing I would suggest is to be able to print out tests with jumbled questions and answers. There are some students with IEPs that really like the paper version but I have to go in and shuffle the questions myself and then download and print.

It just needs elaboarative work on avetor and TTS tools with original male femal voices. Flash is also important when it comes to developing near time and realia in machine generation and parts of a 3D/ cave view of a machine or simulators of any type of industry.

I would like a feature (and all instructors here) that would detect when a student changes to another browser window during a quiz/test. This would allow us to closer monitor for cheating, since they will look for answers using a variety of sites. I would like this to be an option you can turn on/off since some tests we allow them to click off of test. This should appear as a warning on the overview screen.

It is vaery easy to make quizzes manually in Socrative, and I can share them with colleagues, but I will be exploring other options because I need better upload to the LMS at my university, which is changing to D2L Brightspace in the Fall.

I upload each quiz result separately into my university's LMS. This takes too much time. It would be better to link directly to the LMS or collate the quiz results into one excel file on Socrative. This would allow me to upload one file instead of 20 at the end of the term. Also, when I used the roster, there was always 1 or 2 students who could not connect to the quiz, and I have stopped using the roster. This wastes more of my time when I try to upload. I am exploring an alternative such as MS Forms to see if I can save time doing this.”

There are some difficulties with it. Specifically in returning student scores and assessments, but most especially an inability to edit quizzes while or after they are being given. Google Forms allows for this and I'll often use that app instead of Socrative for that reason.

Let's compare Socrative to Microsoft Forms. It's better on the one hand, by having room names, however, it would be better to have area codes, or bespoke servers so names can be duplicated for simplicity. e.g. my students have to type in a long room name. Why not have have UK server "UK" and an area number (1 for London). Then rooms can be reused e.g. UK1Yr7a. This is easier to remember than some of the longer winded room names. Socrative also offers storage of data which is great since Forms doesn't do this easily. That said, do I feel I have value for money. Not really.

some important features missing. Like ability to copy selected questions from one quiz to another ... Scoring would improve massively if points in multiple choice questions would count in %. (e.g. if a question has 4 answers and 2 are correct. If the student picks only 1 correct answer, he/she should get a half point. Answeres that are selected but are wrong should reduce the score of the question.

Socrative could use more review tools beyond the Space Race. Creative games would be fun for the kids while also helping them review the lesson content. One note about the Space Race as it currently works is that it scores based on if the questions were answered correctly by any member when done as a team. I recommend that the Space Race give the option to base their overall score on how many correct answers there were in the team instead.

Overall, I am happy with Socrative; however, I cannot say a 10 because recently had an issue that interrupted my rostered classes. Eventually, the issue was resolved, but it took quite a lot of energy on my part to get Socrative to fix it.

The product is great but the number of tests that you can have on there is limited, for someone that has to cover a broad array of subjects within my specialist area 20 tests for the yearly subscription is a small amount, but similarly the more expensive option is too expensive for the additional benefits. We would benefit from another level of individual membership that allows for unlimited exams but isn't for an enterprise.
