ALPS really has changed the way in which we track the progress of pupils. It has allowed for more sophisticated conversations amongst our middle leaders and our teaching staff, with aspirational, challenging targets being set for students, in line with our HPL philosophy. It is also very intuitive, and easy to use!

Matt Tansley found Alps:
  • Significantly improves teaching efficiency
ALPS allows senior leaders and teachers to identify pupil underachievement, but also where pupils are overachieving at the touch of a button. It enables teachers to visualise the impact of what they are teaching, but also what could happen if they tried a different approach, upon a class, or an individual student, on a much more efficient basis.
  • Significantly improves school processes
Our progress leads and subject leads are able to identify quickly students who may not be working at their full potential. The use of ALPS and the minimum expected grades also fits with our HPL philosophy, which is that all pupils are capable of high performance. ALPS allows us to show those pupils what that high performance can be, through aspirational targets.
  • Significantly improves attainment
Student progress within IBSB has resulted in our highest AS and A Level results being achieved over the past few years. This has been possible through the use of ALPS to track and measure that progress and attainment.
