Andersen International School of Milan

Excellent international school in Milan. We are so greatful for our experience at Andersen. Lovely environment for our childern to grow up in. I would recommend Andersen to any international family looking to stay in Milan.

For us who have a sensitive child, among all the schools in Milan, only Andersen was allowed to describe our child. While in other schools for a more detailed interview it seemed like asking too much and in any case we were never able to speak to someone who would take care of our son, they were always figures external to teaching, such as those who belonged to marketing, or something else. At Andersen we spoke with almost the entire team about the early years hahah and even with the owners, we immediately embraced their philosophy. We seem to understand that the other international structures function as fillers, we understand the enormous costs, but considering the children as income, the beauty of going to elite schools is also over, we have seen structures built vertically, with limited spaces and, Despite this, they have high membership goals, so they're happy.
In Ardersen the welcome, the warmth, the sense of belonging can be perceived and breathed. Our child goes to school but it's like hanging out with him and I'm not just talking about the standard smiles and pleasantries. Then a structure that offers outdoor spaces where the sky can be seen in its full breadth and not in stripes between buildings as in other structures, is practically rare if not impossible in Milan. And for us who lived in Tenerife it's a lot. So far we have met twenty-year teaching staff, for example this solidity was there abroad, here in Italy we are always looking for last minute staff. If I could advise mothers who will find themselves making a choice in the coming years, to forget about all the others that seem to promise who knows what performance. Children have the right to grow up in an environment where there is no competition but only an expression of their true nature, and at Andersen there is.

Excellent school! My children both attend this school and we are very happy. The level of preparation of the children in both languages ​​(English and Italian) is very good and the attention to the needs and particularities of the children is very high. The spaces are large and versatile and the structure is very clean. In such a difficult year they have made important organizational efforts to adapt and guarantee peace of mind for families; they demonstrated attention and care as well as great professionalism and commitment. From this perspective, school meals that are not of high quality are certainly a secondary aspect. We really want to continue to thank them every day!

My children have been going to Andersen for several years and are very happy. Every morning they can't wait to go to school and woe betide me if I drop them off late! We arrived thanks to the advice of a family who was already there at the school and we are very satisfied with the choice made. Excellent teachers and excellent attention to the children's needs.

Good school but since they sent away the principal who was in charge of teaching organization, the teachers no longer make updates and the school has become much more commercial. The children are looked after, the teachers are almost all good. The selection of teachers was more accurate once upon a time and the "holes" of an absence were not filled as it happens, gymnastics teacher, or whatever is around (always the theme of saving....). Art and music are non-existent subjects, they do nothing (there was a wonderful art room that was dismantled). It is impossible to communicate with the school management: parents are seen as enemies.
English is good and Italian is also good for a bilingual school. Despite some flaws, our son at Andersen was happy.
I ANSWER TO THE SCHOOL: it's true, the teachers are very attentive and available to the parents. They help families a lot. I was talking about the management. THE school has NOT maintained the organization of the past at all: the director who followed the teaching was sent away and was the true soul of the school. I repeat that ART is made like this, painting techniques, perspective, use of color are not studied... and music is sung. You don't learn an instrument and you don't learn to read music. The teachers are ALMOST always smart: we lost a year for a totally unsuitable and listless teacher who was never replaced. Having said this, I repeat, we have had other EXCELLENT teachers, wonderful experiences, a lot of care from the teachers and, above all, our son was happy there. If I had to choose it again, I would choose it. It can improve though, as in ANY school.
