Oppilaita opastetaan käyttämään erilaisia viestintäkanavia ja -tyylejä tarkoituksenmukaisesti.

Oppilaita kannustetaan oma-aloitteiseen tieto- ja viestintäteknologian hyödyntämiseen erilaisissa oppimistehtävissä sekä eri tehtäviin sopivien työtapojen ja välineiden valintaan.

Oppilaat oppivat käyttämään erilaisia laitteita, ohjelmistoja ja palveluita sekä ymmärtämään niiden käyttö- ja toimintalogiikkaa.

Tieto- ja viestintäteknologiaa (tvt) hyödynnetään monipuolisesti eri oppiaineissa ja muussa koulutyössä.

 Keskustellaan ja luodaan yhdessä tvt:n turvallisia käyttötapoja ja hyviä käytöstapoja.

Harjoitellaan laitteiden, ohjelmistojen ja palveluiden käyttöä ja opetellaan niiden keskeisiä käyttö- ja toimintaperiaatteita.

Tieto- ja viestintäteknologian perustaitoja harjoitellaan ja opitaan käyttämään niitä opiskelun välineinä.

Medialukutaitoa syvennetään osallistumalla ja työskentelemällä eri medioiden parissa.

Oppilaat harjaantuvat kaikkien aistialueiden ja tietämisen tapojen monipuoliseen hyödyntämiseen oppimisessa.

Monilukutaitoa vahvistetaan tarkastelemalla erilaisia tekstejä tekijän, katsojan sekä käyttöyhteyksien ja -tilanteiden näkökulmista.

Oppilaiden omia ideoita tuetaan.

Tiedon rakentumisen erilaisia tapoja tutkitaan yhdessä ja oppilaita rohkaistaan tuomaan esille omaa kokemustietoaan ja pohtimaan sen merkitystä ajattelulleen.

Harjoitellaan keinoja tarkkaavaisuutensa ja keskittyneisyytensä ylläpitämiseen sekä ohjausta teknologian ja muiden apuvälineiden hyödyntämiseen opiskelussaan.

Oppilaita kannustetaan ottamaan vastuuta opiskeluun liittyvien tavoitteiden asettamisesta, työn suunnittelusta ja oman työskentelyprosessin ja etenemisen arvioinnista.

Grace Lutheran School

Grace has been such a blessing to my family! The family atmosphere is perfect for my kiddos! This atmosphere is created by the amazing teachers and staff. I can't say enough about how the teachers go above and beyond. They provided meals for my family when we had our baby!!!
As a former teacher, I have been impressed with the quality of education--the topics covered, the creative and diverse methods, and the reasonable amount of work.
I'd recommend this school to any family.

Our Two daughters attended Grace from kindergarten through eighth grade. We were so sad When They had to leave to move onto high school. Every teacher gave our daughters individual attention as needed. Her daughters felt loved and cared for by each and every teacher. If you are searching for a warm caring environment then this is the place to be.  Both were well prepared to move onto high school. They easily passed every EOC they needed for Duval County schools and were actually ahead of many students in their high school classes

My daughter has attended Grace for the last 3 years. Starting in Prek3 and currently in Kindergarten. I cannot say enough good things about this school. My daughter was a little reserved/shy and they have done wonders bringing her out of her shell. The one on one attention is amazing, along with group activities and participation. Parents are kept up to date on everything going on in the classroom and at the school. The teachers are so very caring of all the children attending Grace. They want to see them succeed.

I have two children who attend Grace.  I find it has always been warm and inviting.  Every teacher we have had (including the 3rd grade) has gone above and beyond to help my children succeed.  They have offered extra help in subjects my children may have struggled, offered assistance when my husband was deployed, called and check on my child when he was in the hospital and my favorite part is they make home visits.  The take training above what they are required to make sure they are giving our children the best possible guidance.  I would highly recommend Grace!

My family has been part of Grace since 2006.  My children grew up there with a true family of teachers.  They have excelled academically, grown spiritually, and made lifelong friends.  We can't say enough great things about this school!
