I think eedi is excellent and also easy to use. I think it is a great tool for developing and practicing key skills and I like the way it is aligned to White Rose Maths which my colleagues use.

Jeremy Guyler found Eedi:
  • Slightly saves school money
The service is free but it does allow teachers save time marking so they become more efficient.
  • Moderately reduces teacher workload
By marking and providing instant feedback and support to students without the teacher needing to always get involved when the student is unsure how to answer a question.
  • Moderately improves teaching efficiency
Because eedi gives real time results as the children work I often stop the class when a particular question causes a lot of errors. I can then pull the question up onto the class interactive board and discuss solutions with the class together. This is great for dealing with misconceptions and for informing my teaching into areas of need.
  • Moderately improves attainment
I use eedi as a revision and practice tool for learning we have already done. This keeps learning fresh and gives the students more practice than they would experience in the normal maths lesson.
  • Moderately builds student knowledge
By giving them problems to solve but then intervening when they need support. The fact children are expected to explain their answers also broadens and deepens understanding.
