The course comprises of five easy to follow modules, which can be broken down to suit attention span or time allowing.
Module 1- Flying Start – Explains how the course works and only takes a few minutes.
Module 2 - The Basics – teaches the a-z keys using 5 scientifically structured phrases. This module can be broken down into five 15/20 minute lessons.
Module 3 - Just Do It - offers additional vocabulary to build ‘muscle memory’.
Module 4 - And the Rest – teaches the number and punctuation keys.
Module 5 - Speed Builder – 15/20 minutes of practice per day will help build speed and accuracy, showing results within a couple of weeks.
All licences include a teacher’s lesson plan.
Increased usage over time is linked to improved attainment above predicted grades.

All you have to do is put in the time. I am 48, and never had any experience with touch typing, now after only 5 months, I am at 35-40 words per minute. The quality of the resources is exceptional and the new KS3 format is perfect for students to easily navigate but the original content is still a little cluttered. The most common request I receive from Pod Leads is the desire to find all Check and Challenge questions in one place or the ability to assign them. Disengaged students will not work through the modules and then find the tasks themselves. For engaged students however, GCSEPod is fantastic as they appreciate exactly what the platform provides creating their own revision playlists.
If the GCSE content could be assigned to flow like the KS3 content then I would award it 10 stars.
I'd also like to add that the team at GCSEPod are phenomenal. They take on board suggestions and provide support immediately. They assist with setting bespoke competitions for our academies and the platform runs without any glitches or issues.

All download files require the internet to download and activate the file but once activated can be used without the internet.
Teachers wishing to take a 14-day trial are emailed a link to access their KAZ admin panel. No installation is required.
A sound IT manager to white-list a few URLs in school and integrate GCSEPod with MIS. For teachers and students, using GCSEPod is very simple - like using Netflix or Spotify
Training is not required as our product is a tutorial in itself. We advise teachers/educators to instruct pupils to start at the first module and work through each in order.
