ALPS has played an integral part in raising student achievement at Blenheim High School since my appointment as Headteacher in 2017. The school was the most improved in Surrey for GCSE Results in 2018 and achieved its highest attainment for GCSEs in 2019. In 2020 a record number of Sixth Form students took up places at Oxbridge. ALPS is both simple and forensic. At a basic level it provides ‘real time’ position statements of students, groups and year groups against highly credible data. At an advanced level it facilitates deep analysis of trends over time and allows indisputable conclusions to be drawn. ALPS is also backed up by a team of educationalists who are easily contactable either electronically or by telephone. This high level of specialist support makes ALPS a highly valuable tool through which student achievement can be raised.

It is like using all new systems, the more you use the more you can navigate quickly around the programme. The set up process I found cumbersome. Using admissions numbers caused me huge problems and I wasted a whole day trying to upload new students and after many emails your customer support finally uploaded the required students for me.

ALPS has fundamentally altered the way we as a college look at the data. The fact that staff can run 'what if' scenarios in Connect means that we now upload each data collection into ALPS for analysis. T Scores and group analyses allow us to hold departments/teachers accountable for VA, but also to support them in aiming for 'red hot'.
