Each Mable Academy course is professionally produced (these courses are NOT just recorded webinars) with expert presenters for each course. Each course is around 60 minutes long and is split up into 5-8 minute lessons so your staff can learn at their own pace. Each course is accredited by the CPD certification service and individualised certificates are provided on completion.

Senior leadership can see which staff members are accessing the content and is presented on a staff leaderboard.

Outstanding support, care, advice and knowledge. The rapport built with each and every child with our Mable Therapist has been incredible to watch and learn from. Mable really is a unique and caring service which I would recommend to any educational setting.

Lydia found Mable Therapy:
  • Significantly reduces attainment gap
Due to attainment gaps in our area of London, Mable Therapy has helped considerably with cementing vocabulary and knowledge that may have been missed in earlier stages of development.
  • Significantly provides school data
We use Mable's data during Team Around the Child meetings, Annual Review meetings for children who have an EHCP. We also use this data for deciding on new targets and coinciding new targets with Mable's.
  • Significantly improves teacher knowledge
I think Mable Therapy's online system is really easy and straightforward to use. I feel that having the reports and data online is really easily accessed by members of my team. I think Mable has helped broaden teachers knowledge and has given a clear insight into expert clinicians views and how they can help their child.
  • Significantly improves behaviour or wellbeing
Mable Therapy has helped so many of my children learn how to regulate their emotions effectively. Furthermore, strategies that have helped them in sessions and for them to be easily applied within the classroom setting has been invaluable for us. I also feel that the child's wellbeing has been the centre for all of our children who have accessed Mable. Mable's therapists really want to holistically approach the child and this is why we have seen so much progress for our children.

Amazing resource that is highly effective in delivering more efficient SALT that the usual referral route via the LA. Older children have found the set up especially inviting and have enjoyed their virtual sessions. Mable academy has been utilised from September 2020 to support staff at home over lockdown and isolation periods with CPD. Feedback has been positive and staff have enjoyed the training sessions; the content and accessibility are inviting and keep staff engaged.

Emily Moran found Mable Therapy:
  • Significantly reduces attainment gap
Most pupils have responded extremely well to the Mable sessions with the SALT. They are thoroughly engaged in the activities they are presented with as these are user friendly and really appeal to children. We have found it to be most effective with pupils in Year 2 and above as they have the ability to sit and sustain concentration on the virtual sessions. We have seen a difference in progress the children have made following the Mable sessions, in relation to engagement, clarity of speech, attention and listening and overall academic progress.
  • Moderately provides school data
  • Significantly improves teacher knowledge
Teachers are well informed through the reports as to the content of the Mable session, the progress evident and areas for future development. The reports often contain resources to implement within the classroom for further intervention and teachers are proactive in ensuring that this is followed through.
  • Moderately improves behaviour or wellbeing
One child in particular has complex SEMH needs and is reluctant to come to school. Having the stability of a weekly Mable session was something to motivate him and ensure that he worked towards this. He gained a lot from the sessions and spoke highly of the activities, SALT and games he could play!

“Our school is a specialist provision for secondary aged pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs.” Many of these pupils arrive to us having never had a speech and language assessment. Mable allows us to get these children assessed with detailed reports written usually within a week of the first contact; this really helps our staff identify the child’s needs and informs our next steps. As the whole process is online, it’s more discreet than other therapies which some of the older children really appreciate. Mable is an effective therapeutic approach for many of our pupils who would not engage in a more traditional therapy approach. One pupil has two sessions per week with Mable, he has severe Developmental Language Disorder, which contributes to his SEMH needs. Other therapy approaches have become boring and repetitive for him, but he is always asking when his next session is as he loves using Mable!

Mable has enabled us to support some students, as a large secondary school, where perhaps we would not have been able to previously. Their online style really works for some of our young people as all of the therapists, offer a safe and welcoming online environment. The reports from the Therapy received have been detailed and helpful. Parents have been impressed too. Thank you Mable Team, we hope to be able to use you in the future.

Great service. We have three students who are seeing the counsellors online, they are using the sessions well and are benefiting from those sessions. We receive regular communication from Mable, the emails to remind us that the students have a session that day are very helpful in a busy school environment. The counsellors also communicate with us if the students have asked for information to be passed on. We also have three families that are using the Family Therapy sessions, we have had positive feedback from parents about those sessions.

“What a breath of fresh air, easy to set up, easy to refer pupils, no waiting list or hoop-jumping. The therapists are fantastic and very knowledgeable and the kids love attending.” One little boy who was really struggling when he first joined us in Y1, was assessed through the Mable baseline assessment. Unfortunately, his levels were much lower than we had initially suspected, however, it did put many of his high-level behaviours into context and we could understand why he was acting out in certain ways. The therapist advised supporting him to engage in activities he may have missed out on in his early childhood, for example, pretend play. He absolutely thrived! Teaching language in a context he understood and at a level, he felt comfortable with empowered him so much. His vocabulary is expanding all the time and he is a happier member of the class. Although we still have a long way to go, his confidence has soared and we couldn’t have done it without support from the Mable Team.

Mable Therapy has proved to be a valuable resource for our students during this difficult year in school. Mable Therapy were able to provide a fast and efficient response for a student with an EHCP whose parents requested a speech therapy assessment during the pandemic and when it was difficult to access professional support. Three of our students with autism benefitted from counselling therapy to support them with heightened anxiety and in their transition back into school following the national lockdown. All students and their parents were grateful for the quality of support provided and felt that the therapy was very helpful and convenient. The students were able to access the services of therapists while in the home from a laptop during periods of lockdown and from a laptop in school post lockdown, thereby minimising disruption to curriculum time.

“Mable has worked with our school for over three years now providing an excellent level of service to our young people and supporting our staff to develop vital CPD skills.” Many of the children at Springwell struggle with communication and we have found Mable’s support has become a crucial part of their learning. Springwell is a specialist academy which serves the whole of Leeds. We aim to provide the best possible care and education that we can for children and young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs between the ages of 5 and 16. For us, pupil wellbeing comes first, we listen to what pupils are telling us about the service and observe how they interact with Mable. It is truly a pleasure to see them building relationships with their therapist, feeling pride in themselves for the achievements and becoming accomplished, successful communicators. Mable’s offering is unique because they use technology that the children are familiar with. The activities are gamified and it becomes a stress-free experience where learning can occur. The bottom line is that they have highly skilled staff who know how to interact with our children. The pupils engage in the sessions and in some cases, it is the only intervention they are happy to attend. The communication with the company is excellent we have weekly reporting on each pupil. They also speak to parents and keep them updated on progress. We have and will continue to recommend to other schools.

Mable Therapy has given some of our children the opportunity to develop their speech and language skills with therapists who are kind, patient and understanding of our children’s needs. The reports are thorough and children work towards given targets that are updated regularly. Some of our children have accessed the counselling service also and found it useful. Helen Spiers has been brilliant - she communicates with me regularly and ensures everything is running smoothly and meeting our expectations, which is really appreciated.

We have been working with Mable for over five years now. What really appeals to us is the flexibility of the appointments. We can organise the appointment times around the children’s learning so their core subjects aren’t interrupted. We have a very mixed group of students, some with social communication difficulties and many with speech sound delay or disorder. Mable allows us to work with different therapists who specialise in these areas. It means we can get very specific advice about how to support our children. Mable works really well with our staff, our TAs are learning so much about how to support the children between sessions. The therapists send homework tasks for us to complete after sessions. These also go home to parents so they can practice at home too. We have noticed a big impact for children accessing Mable, particularly across the literacy subjects. Mable sends us reports after every session so we can track the children’s progress while they are in therapy.

MABLE is a fantastic online speech therapy service. The therapy sessions are very productive for both the pupil and the teacher. I can not fault the therapist I have worked with - she is amazing: every week she pitches the sessions at just the right level to ensure my pupils are motivated yet challenged. I appreciate the weekly reports and the advice given in them is always easy to follow and deliver in-school. Thank you!
